Sculptures in Rows

Bio

Born and raised in Sardinia, I hold a Master's Degree in Modern & Contemporary Art History from University of Pisa, Italy, where I graduated in 2007 in Italian Twentieth and Post-War Art with Prof. Fabrizio D'Amico.

The interest in Modern & Contemporary Art has always played an important role in my work journey.

My career has started initially in Northern Italy as Curatorial Assistant at Querini Stampalia Foundation in Venice and Castello di Rivoli Museo d'Arte Contemporanea in Turin, and as Gallery Assistant, in Venice and Padua.

2009 marked an important step forward: I moved to Rome to assist the pioneer of Conceptual American Art, Joseph Kosuth, in management and coordination of an international Studio's activity.

I always say that working in an artist Studio is like being part of an orchestra.

But, similarly, the activity of an Auction House involves the analogous ability of being part of a cross-functional reality.

From 2014 to 2019 I joined Innauction GmbH, a small Auction House based in Innsbruck, Austria.

Being part of a close-knit team as Specialist and Cataloguer has allowed me to contribute to the development and delivery of ten international Sales (Modern & Contemporary Art - Photography - Design - Ancient Prints). Most recently, I was in charge of the Private Sales Department: in particular, I managed, catalogued and sold a selection of works on paper by Modern British artist Graham Sutherland from a private European collection, establishing a network of clients in Europe, the UK and the USA including private collectors, dealerships and institutions.
